Afro's Chicken Shop started in 2012 as a Durban food truck. The goal is still the same: fresh, simple, quality food with strong local roots.
Our Food
We believe in fresh, simple food made well with the best ingredients. The menu is intentionally focused so quality stays consistent.
Chips are hand-cut from locally sourced potatoes, with no whiteners, MSG or flavouring additives. Coleslaw is made in small batches so it stays fresh.

Afro's uses local ingredients and works with South African artists and artisans in shop fit-outs, furniture, displays and branded collaborations.
We proudly use iconic local brands and keep the shop energy rooted in South African music, flavour and identity.
Partnerships
Afro's teamed up with Eatfresh to serve staff restaurants in blue-chip corporate environments, and works with The Sharks through the Players First Programme.
Our Responsibility
Afro's is reducing single-use plastics, removing plastic straws, and building recycling practices in-store. Packaging was selected to be recyclable from the start.
Cans, paper and plastic are sorted and collected regularly for recycling to reduce environmental footprint.
