Afro's Chicken Shop was founded in 2012 as a food truck in Durban. We are proudly local and serve fresh, uncomplicated food made well with the best ingredients.
Real Food, No Nonsense
We keep the menu focused so we can do it properly. Chips are hand-cut from locally sourced potatoes, coleslaw is made in small fresh batches, and we use trusted South African pantry staples.

Local Is Lekker
South Africa is home. Afro's uses local ingredients and works with local artisans across shops, fittings, displays and brand collaborations.
We are also reducing single-use plastic, supporting recycling in-store and backing local partnerships like Eatfresh and The Sharks Players First Programme.

Afro's opened its first international shop in Mauritius (Victoria Mall, Port Louis), with more locations already under construction.
